Post Mortem Encounter with Yukio Mishima; Beyond Language,
Time and Body (2023)
This interview will begin with my letter to Yukio Mishima, a Japanese author who isn’t able to reply physically. I will start my letter with in a polite tone and write it like I would do to a real person. My hope is that he would read my letter, and this could lead to the creation of a relationship that slowly develops in the text. I would like to possibly expand the interview text to a dream-like conversation with him, from the real to the abstract.
Using the corresponding style as the threshold for this interview, which goes on further with no timeline and the fraction of a (fictional) conversation with him. This small fraction of conversation can work to disassemble his life and character in pieces and give clearer image about him because his complexity cannot be explained through only one aspect. Each conversation and text will have the look of scattered information with a somewhat messy structure to replicate informal correspondence.
